I just dont care about the intellectual property bs, if there is actually something going on BSG is gonna sue and win if not everything is fine like im not educated enough to form an opinion. All i hope for is that Arena is gonna be smart enough to have Diffrent wipe schedules as tarkov instead of competing, like wipe 2-3 months deep into the tarkov wipe, that way since most people quit a wipe 2-3 months into one they are gonna get most of those tarkov players that quit the game and when they are deep in wipe they wont lose as many when tarkov wipes since most have stopped playing already anyways.

I would have to be insane to care about any corporation. The most important thing to me is the welfare of the consumer. Monopoly is never good for the consumer, it's always good for the corporation. Tarkov had a monopoly on extraction looter shooter games for a long time and we saw what ideas came to them. Single player for a $250 + spit in the face of the game's biggest fans as a gratis, and as an "apology" p2w - when everyone was asking for no p2w. ABI is breaking this monopoly and doing nothing but a favor to consumers, now battlestate will have to compete with someone for a customer - which may work out for the quality of tarkov, and if not, so be it. 30h playing arena Infinite showed me how many things tarkov was doing wrong.

Me personally i will play both games once abi comes out to everyone, i like tarkov for the combat but i also like the more acracady feel of arena breakout if it is still similar to the mobile version

The building thing is not a copy of tarkov, this building is just a house that comes with unity. So they are fine with using it as well

I think one of the biggest elephants in the room with ABI is Tencent. Also what about hackers if the beta is already seeing them how will that problem be solved in a ftp? could it be they put more effort into solving it instead of just banning people so they more copies of the game?

The ai are way to laggy and half your hits don't register and it's sucks that you can stop mid heal

A clone with a bunch of QoL people have wanted in Tarkov for a while, and it doesn't have BSG at the helm? Yeah I think a lot of people will funnel over for sure.

Cant copyright game mechanics as far as Im aware. Competition is good, and if tarkov cant compete it deserves to die. Look at the BR genre to PubG

My opinion is scammer get scammed, I'm gonna play arena breakout as a middle finger to nakita after I got EOD years ago and they went back on their promise and asked for $110 more from me if I want what I had before.

Games copying other games is EXACTLY how we get good games. That's how we get good products IRL too. Its called competition and its good for consumers. Look at world of warcraft. They copied things from all the MMOs before them and became one of the biggest, if not the biggest gaming community we have ever seen. They had loyal die hard fans for years untill they messed up. If youre going to copy, do it right and youll be praised people will even forget the games you copied. Copy and do a bad job... youll be meme-ed on for eternity. Its that simple.

Arena Breakout copied Escape From Tarkov. At least from a U.I. and visuals stance, if not the entire idea of the game. Not because it has real firearm and equipment names, nor because its an extraction shooter. It looks the same. Maybe doesn't play the same, but it looks the same. Normally this is just a shameless money grab. And it still is: Arena Breakout is ultimately owned by Tencent, and can easily be construed as doing such. But BSG and Nikita managed to handle the development of Escape From Tarkov so poorly its almost deserved. And its hard to complain: after 7 years in development, with massive scope creep, gaslighting, actual scandals and scams, and a massive failure to meet player expectations, someone copies everything good about its UX, and then actually makes an enjoyable game underneath it.

On top of all this, reload and weapon maintenance animations, weapon sounds, ect is obviously ripped and slightly altered from tarkov. Not super significant, but obvious showcase of the lack of character and originality.

tarkov looks like quality, ABI looks so cheap

someone had to come and show BSG how easy it is to make their game functional and in a way shorter time. and then making it free is the icing on top proving we shouldn't have to pay 150-250 dollars to play a game like this

The Tarkov community trying to cope with competition is hilarious

They copied all of the stuff from Tarkov to focus on and fix everything else wrong with Tarkov and they nailed it. Keep cheaters out of the game with good optimization will kill Tarkov in the long run. Tarkov is a ticking time bomb and its age and the competency of the devs is showing.

the "stealing code" allegation is just meh to me. ABI has already shown pics of their studio, and the scanner used to scan in everything. like there's only so many ways a gun can be made in game from a real life variant lmao, the post Nikita did of "its a match" was so bogus, if there was anything for them to legally go after, why hasn't he pulled the trigger yet? that said, it's blatantly obvious that they took direct inspiration off of how Tarkov did everything.

the game is way better and i enjoy it much more, i dont really care that they have similar stuff maybe this will make tarkov fix their game cause this game fixes most of takovs issues and it is still in early access

The game looks better, feels better, runs better, and is free, sure there's plenty of copy and paste things from tarkov but tarkov also has a lot of REAL things in their game like vudu scopes and stuff that are real brands and irl items.

Ngl I really didn't like arena breakouts ui and system. The stash was stiff af and moving things in the inventory was a pain. I don't mind it takes longer to set up my kit in eft. It's more detailed and dying and having to put another kit together is still the same in both games painful

I like ABI. It doesn't feel like tarkov in terms of the "get kicked in the dick and like it" that EFT started to feel like over time. I think ABI doing things tarkov would never do is the difference, it's just so much more accessible and quick to get into to. The questing is fun and the PvP feels good. Performance and importantly sound are better.

I mean. It kinda came out at a perfect time. Even if there is controversy it gets stomped out by the unheard edition scam. So it's hard to say. If they took that edition away I believe more people would be outraged at Arena breakout. But you screw over your customer base. We don't care in the end

One additional sign bsg had no clue about our expireance stuck in stash for too long. The preset addition ended up being completly useless.

I just got my codes last night and have enjoyed bouncing between tarkov and arena today to see, yes there are MAJOR similarities but ive found already i play tarkov for a different vibe ana

when you compare that water in Arena Breakout Infinite vs Tarkov :D. It is soo much different. Water in Arena looks really nice.

not playing this for 2 reasons: 1) i expect it to be flooded with p2w. it'll be great if it's not. 2) i do believe there was actual theft taking place. and this is the main reason to me. if it turns out to be false, then the p2w moment is crucial. if both are somehow resolved i'll be happy to check it out.
